Save Journeyman!

For our ‘Journeyman, in Your Words’ contest, we asked Journeyman fans to put their own creative spin on the Journeyman experience and answer 1 of 3 questions. Thank you for all of the thoughtful entries. It was definitely a tough decision. In addition to the winning entries, we decided to post a couple of the runners-up because we enjoyed all of the answers so much. If you could travel in time, where/when would you go, what would you change and why?

Cougar694u: As portrayed in Journeyman, any seemingly insignificant change may cause some drastic repercussions, so I wouldn’t change anything. I’d like to go back to the 1800’s, times of the ‘Old West’ to see my ancestors and how they lived. My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee Indian named Hawk, so I’d like to go back and see how she grew up before being pushed to a reservation in Oklahoma. I wouldn’t change how they were moved, since she met my great grandfather, who was 100% Irish, along the way.

Why did you choose to help save Journeyman? Even if you haven’t been actively campaigning, tell us what you love about Journeyman and what makes it stand out from other shows.

Cougar694u: I chose to help because I thought it was a great show. It has been a long time since any show has gotten my attention enough to make me want to watch it at every airing and keep me wondering until the next week. I think shows like this that make you ‘daydream’ about all the what if’s are a good stimulus. I’m tired of all the stupid game shows and IQ dropping reality shows that are not reality.

I felt it Journeyman was something worth fighting for.

Why did you choose to help save Journeyman? Even if you haven’t been actively campaigning, tell us what you love about Journeyman and what makes it stand out from other shows.

actingirl9108: I choose to help because I was tired of quality shows going off and reality game shows coming on, I wanted to do something more then just sit this time. Now I feel for what I have done for this show, and everyone else is doing is very awesome, I felt like I had to say something like all the other fans had to say about Journeyman.

What I loved about Journeyman is I could connect to the character Dan, he was normal, had problems, and felt upset when he couldn’t save someone he wanted to, he was imperfect. I do not like shows that make their characters too perfect or just plain stupid. Journeyman stood out because it was different, It wasn’t another superman, no reality, or stupidly funny show, it was Journeyman, and that’s all it ever will be.

If you could travel in time, where/when would you go, what would you change and why?

MyDarlin: I would go back in time to see how my parents lived when they were young. They each had difficult lives growing up in the 30’s and early 40’s and to better understand who they are now, it would enlightening to see the influences they had when they were younger. I would also enjoy seeing how they met and how they fell in love. I wouldn’t change a thing, because just as Dan figured out, even the smallest changes will affect the future.
