Surrounded by National Park, Cape Trib. is a truly beautiful location. But for the locals, life can tough, no grid power, the threat of cyclones, the mad heat and the relentless rain. Only a select few make it their home. I have organised an interview with a couple, Digby and Alison Gotts, who have been living in the rainforest for the last 12 years. They use solar panels for electricity and share there house with a multitude of forest creatures such as frogs, bats and snakes. They are virtually self sufficient with a fantastic exotic tropical fruit orchid and huge vegie patch. The Gotts have lived at Cape Tribulation for the last 12 years. In that time they have lived through 3 cyclones. The Gotts run exotic fruit tasting tours on their farm.

Guide to Spain Holidays

Spain has not been a true world power since it was defeated in the famous naval battle against England in 1588; it is still an incredibly beautiful country and one that is rich in history as well as in culture. It is also not a poor or uncivilized culture, being the ninth largest country in the world in terms of economy, and has the fifth largest economy in the European Union. So what do you like to do?

If you like sports, then a holiday in Spain is a perfect choice, whether you want to play golf or watch a football game or plenty of other fun sporting activities. Go on a hike, go scuba diving in the Mediterranean sea, take a day trip to the Canary Islands, which are a Spanish territory, or stay in Spain and enjoy warm, sunny beaches right outside your hotel. History

If you prefer history, then Spain has a lot to offer, from ancient castles to World Heritage Cities, of which Spain has the most of any single country in the world. Go exploring historic buildings and learn all about the history of this country which came within a hair’s breadth of controlling most of Europe through taking England. Adventure & Night Life

If adventure and night life are more your style, then Spain has plenty to offer you, as well, especially since the famous Spanish siestas make for extra energy for late nights. For families, though, Spain also takes great pains to make their country a perfect destination. Family & Kids

You and your family will love Spain, which is full of all kinds of fascinating treasures from interesting and fun museums to zoos and even safaris. There are nature trails to be walked, natural preserves to be explored, and aquariums to visit where you can even watch the dolphins at play for hours on end.

If your family is into wild rides, there are theme parks all over Spain that offer the family setting that you want and rides enough to satisfy almost any adrenaline junky (at least young adrenaline junkies). These parks are fun and exciting, and have a lot to offer families, including the wild fun that you want in a relatively safe space.

Spain is a beautiful and incredible country with a little of something to offer just about anyone, from the warm climate and beautiful landscapes to the gorgeous palaces and historical buildings and castles. This is a country that is very easy to fall in love with.

Leisure Travel Expert Guide

Safe travel requires several guidelines. Most of the suggestions are very common and probably we imbibe them in our daily life. However, it looks like that many people on holiday forget their usual safety guidelines and fall impetuously into danger. This article is a means of providing you information that helps you prepare your travel with unique travel advice and safety tips.

Unique Travel Advice

Travel should be well planned and prepared. It is too exciting and thrilling to think of travelling to a new destination. But if certain amount of caution is not addressed it will become a night mare. Purchase a money belt which acts as a safety locker and consistently use it to keep all your documents that are required like passport, and money safe. Try to find out what is allowed on board with the inspectors at security check points prior to the travel. It is also advisable that sharing personal details and details that pertain to our travel such as staying hotels and places planned for vacation should be avoided. All these details are immaterial for any one.

Make sure that a copy of journey schedule is left back with a close relative or a friend and they are updated and in touch with you. Ensure that prior to departure all things at home are arranged properly. Also Prior information about the place of visit should be gathered. Single travelers should exercise caution and always be aware of their surroundings at every point of time. Also ask at the hotel desk if you ought to avoid any place while going for site seeing.

Unique Safety Tips

Certain amount of cautiousness and application of common sense can protect us and keep away from dangers. Take a cab that is marked taxi and seems to be an official one. Avoid taking jewelry or wearing them, which might attract thieves. Avoid walking alone at the unknown destination. Behave like one among them. Avoid shortcuts and poorly lit streets, they can become dangerous. Also avoid deserted beaches as they could be like inviting danger. Exercise caution and make sure that the surrounding is safe and secure. It is highly recommended that you ask the hotel desk to book a taxi for you including your return to the hotel. Unable to do this, find out where you will get one, that is safe. Vacationers should also carry a small first aid kit along with them for emergencies. Bandages, antacid, aspirin, insect repellent, sunscreen, and first-aid ointment are few things that are recommended to be carried even when going for sightseeing.

Keeping all the various aspects in mind a complete plan of the trip should be planned prior to the trip and sketched out well. Thus vacation can become ever lasting memories and remembrances, if all things are done well. As the saying goes all that begins well ends well!!!
